Monroe . . . a retired performer
Perhaps Monroe's biggest problem was that he never quite grasped the idea that he's a bird, not uncommon for a sulphur-crested cockatoo. After all, it's so easy to treat them like feathered humans . . . they're so smart! Monroe, a former show bird, was extremely possessive and quite aggressive, but he has mellowed out considerably, and now he assuredly knows he's a bird. Here he is playing with a Lincoln Log, a blast from the past. Obviously, Monroe can go through quite a supply of Lincoln Logs in fairly short order. However, that's one of the reasons God made thrift stores.
