Sold individually, “Big Reds” are perfect as a special treat for the largest of parrots, larger rodents and primates. Averaging 5 1/2 inches in height, these robust and woody cones make wonderful foraging toys and can be stuffed with all types of goodies. Please note that the quarter in the photo is for size comparison only, and money does NOT grow on any of the trees we have come across in our meanderings. My Moluccan cockatoos and large macaws especially love to go to work on Big Reds. That said, my caique knows nothing of “size-appropriate” toys and has been known to tackle one without a second thought. It is not uncommon for a Big Red to weigh 5 oz. or more, and if ordering under 12, it is best to order Big Reds accompanying other items to help optimize your shipping dollar.
